First off, I want to say that I am impartial to who creates obsidian crafts shop. If you you call it chatshop, or virtualshop, its "virtually 2 different plugins with the same objective in mind." I believe that the best experience within reasonable possibility for the players should be presented. The ability to buy and sell enchanted weapons, tools and items through "A" plugin would only augment the wonderful experience already provided by OC's team of staff and owners. SirNius's plugin has been working well so far and has had very little issues that were resolved with haste. I remember virtualshop from before the improvements and never got the opportunity to try the plugin after. From the players perspective, I did not see many issues and what ones there were you worked out with haste. In my honest opinion, there is not an answer to this poll that I can comfortably select. I think you were a good mod from what I saw and I know the staff we have now are amazing at what they do! I know that they will do what is best for obsidiancraft and all of its loyal members! If you want my answer, I just thought it would be cool to sell enchanted stuff on my game.. Sure, you get a hardware update, or a new plugin, or a new theme on the site, however that's all. Nothing different is done to improve the server. Someone once told me that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. This is precisely that. Also, don't rebuke this post saying "well what would you do", as that's not my problem. In addition to that the internal structure of this network is poor. Don still manages all the funds even though he hasn't been actively involved in this server since 2013 (4 years). That means all the work wesley does is rewarded by nothing. Aside from no reward, staff cannot use the funds for much other than what don pays for. A while back I asked that we have a full website revamp by hiring a designer (ATSLAYER) - the price was about $500. We were unable to achive that, and I'm sure we have well more than $500 in the bank. Was it necessary? No, but it proves the point that things cannot be done financially to improve the server aside from requesting more space for servers on the hypervisor, perhaps. My role in this community is simply as a plugin developer. VirtualShop was copied as I worked on finishing enchanted items as I had promised. I'm simply offering to let you use the plugin as it was in very poor taste to copy the features I worked hard on over the years and claim them as your own. No one can possibly deny this. I take offense to extralife's for even suggesting the other one is legitimate. Spoiler: Show Just something further, sent on the day I left. Better = Copy most features, add 2 new ones. If you've forgotten, we gave you nearly a month to provide us your shop plugin, and you never did, so as any progressive server would (and you're asking us right now to be progressive) we didn't let the server hang in suspense waiting for something we weren't sure would come. So we took the initiative to develop a new shop plugin so the community would not suffer without it after it was unceremoniously taken away. Supply and demand mate. There was a demand and we were there to fill the supply when you weren't. You waited too long to play your hand. I'm just seeing a lot of salt that we're not using your plugin. Personally, I have been having a whole lot of issues with my laptop over the summer, believe me, I'm not happy about it. Once that gets settled down, I'm hoping to dedicate a lot more time to progressing the server. I have a whole new help plugin in the works and soon I'll be adding something new and needed to OU, its gonna be lit. The development took time because I was balancing schoolwork and trying to integrate full enchanted item support, which I did. You of all people should understand that as you were vastly inactive with the reasoning of school. Also, it's very shady to make a copy behind my back without even a single word of notice. It's even more shady how most of the featurs I had in my public Atlas Network version found their way into the copy, while some of the more intricate features from the up-to-date private repo had not. I'll not waste my breath anymore though, as you all obviously don't care. The blatant lack of accountability is astonishing. Even more astonishing is how Corey and Cody are going right along with it, as they were there as I redeveloped the plugin for their own server in 2015. With that I'm withdrawing this offer for early access to the virtual shop plugin. It will be released soon enough regardless. Maybe other servers will find value in it.
